What the game teaches

Ride-hailing pay looks simple on a trip offer. The real number is what is left after the app's fee and your own costs, divided by every hour you were online, not just the hours with a rider in the car.

Fees differ by app

Each app here uses its fee from the directory or its own published figures: a commission, a fee that varies trip by trip, a daily pass with 0% commission, or a fare the rider offers and you can counter.

Your car is your cost

Petrol, hybrid or electric; rent, finance or own. Fuel or charging, servicing, tyres, insurance and the phone plan all come out of your earnings.

Empty kilometres are unpaid

Driving to a pickup, waiting for a request, queuing at the airport and charging all take time. The game tracks how much of your shift had a rider aboard.

Payout timing matters

Weekly pay, daily pay, instant cash-out for a fee, or cash in hand while the app collects its fee later. Weekly rent can fall due before the money arrives.

The apps in each city

Only apps whose country list in the directory includes the city's country appear there. Fees are the directory's published figures; where a platform publishes no single rate, the game uses a labelled range from its own statements.
