Age vs peers
Founded in 2012 (about 14 years ago), Creative Market is older than 19% of the 16 stock marketplaces with a known founding year.
What this shows
Founding years of similar platforms, oldest on the left. Older platforms have a longer record of paying people; newer ones may still be finding their footing, or be the fresh alternative.
How it is calculated
The first four-digit year (1900s or 2000s) in each listing's founded field, checked against company records. When a platform was relaunched or renamed, the year is the original company's founding as recorded. Platforms with no founding year are left out.
