TUTOROO matches language tutors with students for online or in-person lessons and does not charge an ongoing commission. You set your own rate and you pay no registration fee. The first two weeks of lessons with a new student are paid to TUTOROO. After that, the student pays you directly in cash or by bank transfer. If the student stops after those two weeks, the tutor FAQ says you receive 50% of the fees from that period. Staff validate your profile before they send job proposals, and a language page says a teaching certificate is typically not required. One tutor page says the most successful tutors make as much as $8,000 a month.
