MyTutor tutors are self-employed and are contracted by the customer. MyTutor raises the invoice, deducts the charges you pay to MyTutor, and sends the rest to your bank. Tutor terms say you are not charged to use the site. The price the customer pays is the tutor fee plus a platform fee, and that platform fee can be as much as 49% of the total. MyTutor also charges VAT on the fee you pay it. It holds tutor fees for completed, undisputed lessons in a dedicated account before release. It issues a self-remittance invoice every two weeks. If a refund event happens before you are paid, MyTutor can refund the customer some or all of the fee.
